Continuing the theme of achievements of KazNIPIITES Energia in the development of the Republic’s alternative energy (see the article of KazNIPIITES Energia, a pioneer in the renewable energy market), we are pleased to announce that the Institute has successfully completed all the design stages, obtained all the necessary approvals and conclusions from the State Departmental Expertise the project “Construction of a wind farm on the Shokpar site in the Zhambyl region with a capacity of 109 MW”. The project investor was the Netherlands company ENERGY & EMISSION B.V, and Windhan LLP (Windhan) established in Kazakhstan, which acted as the Project’s customer.
The main parts of the wind farm project: - Construction of wind turbines (E-82) in the amount of 36 pieces; - Construction of the 220/35/10 kV substation of the Shokpar WPP; - “Approach-exit of single-circuit overhead transmission line 220 kV PS 220 kV Espe-traction - PS 220 kV Shokpar-traction at PS 220/35/10 kV“ VES Shokpar ” - “On-site cable lines of 35 kV WEC Shokpar”; - Construction of on-site roads. Design and exploration work was complicated by the large depth of drilling (over 30 m) for wind turbines and the complex composition of rocks (cross-bedding of sandstones), as well as the simultaneous presence of strong wind - up to 49 m / s (1 time in 25 years) and seismicity of the design area - 7 points.
Thanks to the coordinated work of the team of the Institute and subcontract organizations, the project was successfully implemented. At present, at the design stage, the second stage is the expansion of WPPs to 250 MW. Thus, after the implementation of the second stage of construction, the Shokpar WPP will significantly exceed the installed capacity of the largest on the territory of the post-Soviet space WPP-Botievsk wind power plant in Ukraine, the installed capacity of which is 200 MW. In conclusion, I would like to note that JSC KazNIPIITES Energia has once again confirmed its leading status in the market for the design of renewable energy sources, after all, they trust in the development of the largest projects in the country.
